Crochet Granny Square Variation
Second Square of CAL with Kristin Omdahl
The second square for the “Springtime Afghan CAL” is ready. I used 2 colors for each square and alternated the colors to get a little more variety. I am using a sport weight yarn with the weight category of 3. You will need to be able to work a magic loop or circle. If you are not comfortable doing that you can begin by chaining 4 and sl st into the 1st chain to form a circle. You will also need to know how to change colors.
Please visit www.kristinomdahl.com to order your yarn. This is 100% bamboo yarn and is so soft. You are going to really enjoy using it.

Kristin Omdahl has also uploaded a video on how to diagram this square. Her video tutorial can be found found on the next page:
I think it’s a great way to learn how to read diagrams. She is so much better at making the diagrams than I am. I really appreciate her taking the time to do the video and show us all how it’s done. If you haven’t been to her blog site please visit today: www.kristinomdahl.com click on the blog tab to be taken to her blog posts.
I’m sorry for the delay in getting the instructions posted. I have been away at a wonderful blogger conference in Long Beach.
I have made every effort to put the instructions without errors. If you find one please let me know if the comments below. Also, please let me which color combinations you are using for your afghan. Here is the schedule for the upcoming posts.
