25 Plus Size Free Crochet Garment Patterns

I don’t know about you but sometime for me finding patterns that include plus sizes can be difficult. Here is a list of some of my favorite 25 Plus Size free crochet patterns. They range from Super Easy to a little more complex. The good thing is that it is a variety of items so you will be able to find something that you like. The patterns are free and a great way to try out different people’s pattern writing style. Please let me know if you complete any of these projects. Links to pdf patterns are below the photo. Crochet motif Tutorial – Sea Foam / Ocean Waves

Crochet Motif of a Sea Foam Stitch/Ocean Waves

I decided to share this Crochet Motif of the Sea Foam Stitch (also known as Ocean Waves) today. I’m always on the look out for new motif’s I can use for various projects. Since it’s summer now and the weather has warmed up I wanted to a summertime baby blanket. I will be using cotton yarn. Although it’s still summer there are times you still need a blanket to cover up a sleeping baby. I didn’t want to make something too heavy. I went thru all my previous projects to look for something that would fit the bill. I really liked this one. Some books call it Sea foam and some call it ocean waves.

Here is a sample (2 pattern repeat) of the sea foam motif. I made one of these blankets a few years ago. You can use any size hook and type of yarn. Just make sure the hook is appropriate for the yarn weight. Since this will be a baby blanket I used a weight 3 cotton yarn and a G hook. You can use whatever hook and yarn you prefer. I used 2 colors and changed color on row 6 of pattern. You can use as many colors as you like or stay with one solid color. Using multiple colors is a good way to use up your yarn stash.

On-line Crochet courses coming soon

I have received so many requests to do On-line courses. I am in the processing of filming some high definition video tutorials. I wanted to ask, “What do you want to learn?” Crochet, Knitting, Sewing, other crafts?

I am working on a course to teach people to read written crochet patterns as well as Diagram crochet symbols/patterns. I want to be sure that what I prepare is what you want to see. The difference between the online course and the videos on YouTube is that I will go into more detail and have more time. YouTube ranks a lot of the videos by how long a person watches now. What they call audience retention. There are times that I want to really give more info but the time limitations are always on my mind. With the on-line courses that isn’t an issue. I can break a course down into several lessons and build skills up in the correct order. Plus, you would have it available anytime you like.

So, I really need your help and input. Please let me know what your thoughts. Thanks

Warm weather is here but that doesn’t mean I stop crocheting. Here is a round up of some of my favorite summertime patterns. The best part is that they’re all free and pretty easy to make. I even did a youtube video tutorial series for the blue and white Beach Cover up. I have included links to all patterns beneath the photos. I hope you enjoy this round up of free patterns.
