Kids of all ages will love this crochet fun snood. It works up quickly when using chunky weight yarn. I used the Bernat Blanket Yarn from Yarnspirations. It is soft and I really like the texture. I used the color: Pumpkin spice. The ears I used the chocolate color. The ears and the snood can be made in other colors if you prefer. I think this snood is a fun way to stay warm. The Bernat Blanket yarn is nice and warm. I made the adult/teenager size. You can purchase Bernat Blanket Yarn from your local Joann’s store or go online to Yarnspirations.com for more selection.

Instructions for Crochet Fun Snood:
DC/dc = double crochet
top of 3rd turning chain = tch
chain = ch
MC = main color (Pumpkin spice)
CC = contrasting color (chocolate or taupe)
hdc = half double crochet
To begin: (Adults) In MC Crochet 26 chains. (child crochet 20 chains). DC into each chain beginning in 4th chain from hook
Rows 2 -50 (adults) Chain 3, turn work, dc in each dc. last dc of row into tch, fasten off.
(Children) crochet 38 – 40 rows. (Try it on the child)
Fold snood in half. Slip stitch along back top center edge. I sewed the along the 10 center dc. In the photo it looks like 5 dc because the snood is folded in half. (See photo) Turn right side out.
Ears are the same for both adult and child sizes. (make 2)
In CC, Magic circle, ch 1, 6hdc into
Row 2: Ch 2, turn work over, 2 hdc into each hdc, fasten off leaving long tail to sew ear onto top of snood.
Try the snood on the head of the user. Mark with a stitch marker where you would like to add your ears. Sew your ears onto the top of your snood. (See photo)
Cut approximately 1 yard of your CC and lace up the front like you would a shoelace using the spaces in between the DC posts.
